Well, back in 1998, a little company called Broadcom would put out a news release pretty much every day, saying things like "Broadcom ships its 1 billionth this or that"

Now that little company is a 100 Billion Dollar company.

They do it all the time, tout orders and shipments way before they've collected on them.
