Investor Help (NO Ihub questions)

The problem: stocks in my broker account (AMTD) that broker no longer knows ticker symbol but lists a 9 digit number on the stock positions page , lists my loss sometimes but never the cost... for tax purposes how can I trace which stock symbol the nine digit number might have represented so that I may declare a loss at tax time. TKS for any information available.
