First off I doubt you could find a broker that would allow it, and save the offshore broker baloney they must adhere to the same US regulations as US brokers.
There is a thing known as the $2.50 rule.
This means you have to put up $2.50 PER SHARE to short a stock.
Plus the cost of the shares.
So it would cost you $250,000.00 (two hundred fifty thousand dollars) plus the cost of the shares to short 100,000 shares of OPTI.
And 100,000 Shares isn't going to impact the price one little bit.
