That desk is the bill signing and photo op room. There's many in the white house only for meetings or broadcast use. The desk is small so everyone can fit around it for portraits and doesn't overpower the frame. That room gets shown in tours. tRumps image secretary didn't have a choice.

That said, because the fat ass mcconnell was using the big boy desk in the oval to pork sidney again and promised tRump seconds.
