Really surprised that Philip Morris would put that much effort into a study that discovers something we already knew, although I must admit it was more thorough than anything I have ever seen from Jonnie. All of the patents and patent applications with Jonnie,s name on them seem to mention a half dozen nicotinic molecules, including anatabine, and it has been my impression that he was patenting nicotinic molecules in general.
As to the switch from anatabine to isomyosmine, the patents seemed to imply that isomyosmine's ability to reduce MOA-A and MOA-B more than any of the other molecules was the reason, but I always wondered if it was because the anatabine patents were going to lose significant patent life before they became usable.
