it looks like a test strip with some kind of privacy or anonymity feature.

Always a trademark never a patent. Hmmmm, why is that? Cuz a trademark is just that, a trademark. Easy to get, Easy to fool the average pink sheet investor into believing that some monumental achievement has occurred.
