Good morning all, and Happy Thanksgiving (in case this is my only post for the day).

I have a new reason to believe the buyout will occur EARLY next year.

In my career, I have had a run of peculiar coincidences whereby my commute takes me through some long term highway construction projects, with all the traffic snarls which accompany such projects. One such project involved relocating a tollbooth plaza along my commute, for about two years running, and I left that job a around three months after the new tolls were opened. Next project several years later was widening of the turnpike, completed also about 3 months before I changed jobs again and no longer commuted on that stretch of highway. For the past several years, NH DOT has been widening Route 93 from 2 lanes to 4, all the way to the border. This morning, trucks were in place and actively removing the last of the Jersey barriers, such that my ride home tonight should be entirely unencumbered by construction-related lane restrictions (just Turkey Day traffic to deal with).

My current company is quite stable so I do not anticipate any imminent changes to my employment status, with the one possible exception of Titan getting bought (which would most likely precipitate my immediate retirement). Whereas I have never had an unencumbered commute for more than about three months and a Titan buyout is the most likely scenario to prompt me to change my employment situation - history dictates that Titan should be bought in about three months!

Hey, at least I have something to dream about, right?
