HD is same way. Contractors who do work for big box stores do not make as much as regular contracts as the store is taking a cut. Thus the ones who get lucky with decent work and they show up are rare.

The stories I've been told, witnessed, is very sad for the homeowner.

Couple examples .................

The CONtractors when they get better paying jobs will do those while homeowner waits.

They will do crap work cutting corners making up for not receiving industry standard pay.

You wouldn't believe your eyes if you've ever read a HD contract the homeowner signs.

Got to give HD credit they got some good lawyers who drew that up it protects them coming & going.

Homeowner finds out later they are stuck legally.
