I have run into that Etrade waiting period too. They told me 6 days wait from an outside institution. They also say 5 days to use funds from another trade.
But I used the fund from another trade and the stipulation was that you do not trade out of the stock you buy within 5 business days or they will put a federal freeze on your account.
They sure know how to jerk you around good these days. I hope you can gain access to your funds so you can enjoy the ride.
