Couldn't agree more, still much more sensible approach.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 6,164 deaths.

a few months ago they had 5800 deaths, so only an increase of 364 people in 2-3 months, for a country with 10 mil people that really isn't a lot.

works out at 0.00364%

the whole amount of 6164 deaths since Jan is 0.06164%.

I know any death is tragic for the family and friends involved, but shutting down a whole country for 0.06164% makes little sense IMHO.
