DXD--25,000 SHARES LONG DXD- which is ultra short the DOW. ($13.55).
I believe the overall market is in for turbulent times and this ETF captures the BEAR side of the impending doom and gloom. Here are my thoughts:
Presuming Biden is declared the winner of the election, the Democrats have made no bones about increasing taxes on the wealthy and especially those making $400,000 or more a year. Obviously, that change in policy would take effect in 2021, but, people will begin to sell their stocks this end of year.
This vaccine thing, while great in theory, in pragmatic reality, is at best 5-6 months away or more. Biden, see aforementioned point, has stated that he intends to shut the country down again on any resurgence. You do not have to be a scientist, rocket or otherwise, to understand as the weather gets colder, the virus grows. Seeing this already in Europe. Politics aside, if the country shuts down again, the economy will suffer.
Anyway you look at the current events, again, politics aside, we are in economic trouble and it is getting worse. Impending taxes, shutdowns, foreclosures, job losses, etc.. Not really seeing why the market is making all time highs.
The money managers will be paraded out on the various networks talking about that the market likes the end of political uncertainty, yada yada yada. MYTH. They are trying to keep people from liquidating their assets. Anyone with any financial sense knows the party is over.
Remember this post when the market tanks within the next two months, the same clowns that will be on the networks saying the market is rallying on the future, will be claiming in 45 days when the market is roiled, that it always comes back. Yeah right. It does. But sign me up for the ride from 30,000 to 18,000 on the DOW.
