Yes, I agree with your statements as well, unless your aim (The Greenies) to raise the cost of energy so much that it impacts and hurts the middle and low income earners and it's competitors.

When one does not care about the other income earners, it becomes personal in my opinion.

The whole predicate to a capitalistic society, is to compete to bring cost under control and affordable for everyone.

Choices of products and services and choices of substitutes, are the main tools that are used as cost drivers, and in turn, forces prices to equalize or stabilize, and at some point prices will achieve economies of scale pricing to achieve the continuation of the firm and affordability for everyone.

International business theory states that; a countries business firms should possess an natural abundant factor (core competencies) that satisfy our US markets and any extra factors are available for export.

In other words, you take care of the home land businesses for citizens consumptions, then trade the excess on the open international market. Hence; MADE IN THE USA.

The take away here is that a country has to provide jobs to it's legal citizens first, and then add inputs that temporary fill the needs until you don't need them anymore.
