If one thinks their investment would be safer if VC's had a stake in the company, then one needs to understand VC's better. Why do you think the others are spitting and spurting out products? Because they have to satisfy the VC's somehow. If you think it was a business goal to develop a blended Spider Silk watch band, and somehow that equates to success, then this conversation is done.

Those companies sold their souls. Now they are more like puppets doing the work of their masters, than a corporation controlling their immediate output and overall sustainability.

Those "round after round of series financing" equated to more and more hands fighting over the puppet strings. It is those puppeteers who are forming those partnerships and TELLING those companies what prototypes to develop. Why is that? Hmm...hint: the VC's gotta make bank, Bro! Plain and simple truth!

I, for one, am glad Mr. T didn't sell his soul. Because, I, for one, would rather KBLB be in control of its sustainability, than being forced to spit out a watch band, or a tie, or a parka, or a 3-D model.

It might make sense for some shareholders who are looking to take money off the table. But, as a long-term investor and a new investor of today and tomorrow, it makes more sense to invest in a company looking to dominate the market by building a sustainable company, than one looking to appease any market. Especially one with so many partners to satisfy...FIRST!

But, I guess there are those who believe respect is earned by how much someone does for someone else rather than how much someone can do for their self. Let's talk in 3, 5, 10, 20+ years. I promise I won't say, "I told you so."
