I have read my Bible through several times, some parts I have really studied and some I just scan over, those which I scanned over was because I never felt drawn to them,,,The biggie was Revelation, I have always ran away from this, I've read it but it was always really too deep for me, it just never spoke to me. A few days ago with all that is going on politically and my feelings concerning organized religion I got drawn to a couple of passages in Revelation, mainly the 7 churches. This morning I went to my daily reading, for several days I have really been digging into the Gospel of John, when I say digging into, I mean really looking at words and their Greek meaning....but this morning I shut down John and moved to Revelation, the Book I always run away from. It is Important for me to realize that I am a bit thick upstairs, what one will grasp right off the bat, I take 2 or 3 readings to catch up. This morning after leaving John I read the first 3 chaps., then again and then once more. I wish I knew exactly what I was to gain from this but I have really been drawn in to the 7 churches, I read it and I sort of get the picture, but the BIG Picture is what I really want to learn. This was written a couple thousand years ago, I wonder if I am going to learn that these 7 churches carry the same issues as our churches of today....

OK!!!! Now you may be trying to figure what this has to do with you or why is he posting this....If in your morning prayers or thought out the day if any of this comes to mind, take a moment offer a prayer for a "thick brother" who is hoping to learn something......entering Revelation is for me sort of a scary thing.
