Sadly if we had leadership from the Administration many could have been saved, even now they won't address it though the CDC finally said masks are beneficial to both the wearer, and those nearby. This should have been clear from day one, but in the beginning their was a great lack of masks, so they played it down. What they should have done back then was convince people to make masks from multi layers of fabric, practically anything would have been better than nothing.
Today our numbers are tremendous, but the data should be modified to drop out those who've had the disease and are healthy, while it's uncertain that these people are protected, they shouldn't be counted as though they were still sick.
I suspect that it will be at least March before enough people can get the vaccine to start the numbers coming down significantly. The holidays will almost certainly be spreader events even with people being advised to take precautions, many will, but enough won't and they'll be spreader, or super spreader events.
I suspect that nearly, or over, a million American's will die before we really have little or no more Covid-19, it's sad, but many just won't listen to advice, or take their advice from politicians rather than doctors.
