He peer reviewed MS many years ago and never managed mass production despite saying the contrary, that it was ready.
Other fibers developed after MS have never been peer reviewed nor mass produced

"Bolt and Spiber no longer even mention spider silk on their websites. How do we know it is still a pursuit of theirs if they don’t even mention spider silk?"
