Actually, the stock price will probably go lower until the RS. Anyone that has been through an RS can tell you that there is a big selloff before the RS, and then you can't trade it for 3 days, while others, not in brokerages, can and will sell. I watched a 4:1 split get back to the pre-split price within 3 months. I sold all but a small amount before the RS then watched them rest dwindle to nothing. I'll keep 50K VRUS, which will then be 100 shares. THEN I will watch to see which way it goes. It almost never increases, because the same fundamentals are present.
