Treasury Secretary will probably not approve amending of the preferred stock purchase agreement (vital for a recap and release) without more study, meaning recap and release could be a long way off if ever, I am told. Question is does @stevenmnuchin1 pull the trigger before Jan?

But the real reason is that the Republicans want to kill FnF -- they have slow walked this for four years... That did not happen by accident.
