Just found out something interesting. I spoke with Scottrade concerning ownership of the shares in my account. They stated that the shares are real and mine listed in my name, and one thing that should make me feel secure is that I do not have a margin account where as shares can be borrowed and loan to someone else.

I also spoke with Trading Direct. They stated that the shares in my account are in Street name (meaning Trading Direct name) Unless I pull certificates which cost $30.00 per certicate.

I am tring to find out that if what Altomare is saying could be true, that if the Grandfather Clause is done away with, that we could have problems with brokers concerning our shares owned being counterfeit shares.

I have asked about making sure that I am on the NOBO List and both Scottrade and Trading Direct did not know of such list.

I don't like this at all. It gives me alot to think about.

You would think that brokers and Banks would at least know about the NOBO List.

Has anyone else tried to speak with their brokers concerning the NOBO LiST?
