Your theory has always been that they would drive the price down as much as they possibly could.



Yes, because that maximizes their overall common percentage.

Why would they now settle for $30/share....no matter how many shares are outstanding....when they can try to get them cheaper if they can?



No, the number of shares outstanding absolutely matters. They will want as many of those as possible.

The $30 share price is so that there is a small chance that they would have to liquidate in the case the share price drops under $5.

That has always been your theory.



It is clear that you don't understand my theory, then.

That they and only they control the price, or they wont put up the needed capital.



The new investors will certainly put a ceiling on the share price. I think that ceiling is $5-8, before any reverse splits are done, given how much CET1 equity will need to be built.
