I doubt anyone else took sick covid patients and forced nursing homes and long term living homes to take them in. That caused a high number of needless deaths.

The nursing care deaths counted were those that died on the premises. NY state didn't count those that died at hospital once they were beyond any help.

NY won't release actual numbers. New York, Michigan, California, New Jersey and Pennsylvania are the states that did this.

It also caused strict seperation rules that didn't allow patients to leave their rooms for community eating and socialing. It took quality of what life they had away.
