Maybe the actual transcript of Long's testimony in context would be more helpful than QMC's lawyer's claims while doing public relations (and working the ref's).

It's pretty transparent what this is all about. QMC is fighting over their unpaid legal bills. "Quantum Materials is seeking $100,000 in monetary damages, but argues that punitive damages 1,000 times that amount should be awarded." (this article in law.com)

As I said previously, losing in Kansas and getting a large bill for damages gives QMC something to shout about in Texas. Without knowing the law it would be tough to forecast any of these future rulings but it is difficult to see how K&L Gates is responsible for an agreement that was modified after their involvement. QMC's only hope for big bucks is evidence of sleaze and so far we haven't seen it.
