IMO.... Historically... the market likes post election . Regardless of my views, vote , etc...

This year I am on the fence. Economic lock down and stimulus to isolate is a whacked variable.

A Biden win could make those vxx calls skyrocket.

The trick we play with options is...
lose small
Win big

The guys that sell us those contracts aren't fools.

Check your greeks and Understand how they can become "max pain"
