Chart 101- Did the Stock Charts tell another CYDY PR was coming? No better than reading the back of a cereal box because self-fulfilling actors inaccurately use technical analysis to discern patterns within the CYDY chart, but long-term investors rarely find any real value from such short-term price pattern TA hyping, that always add an extra 2 cent opinion of gloom. The pessimism sounds helpful, but is mostly a tool misused to scare long-term CYDY investors for personal gain. Predictive, Doomsday, Red Alert preaching is almost as effective as that lit board hanging over a roulette wheel indicating the numbers hit on previous rolls.
The bottom line is that CYDY technicals may intermittently expose a short-term trend, but they should never, under any circumstance, solely drive your investment in CYDY.
Self-fulfilling prophecy attempting to play against CYDY intrinsic value is all.
