Hey you two guys aren't somehow reading my research notes while I'm typing them are you?? LOL

After a month of work and 63 pages of notes, I'm just getting ready to do an out-of-sample test of a combination of what you've been talking about.

I'm finding that both the recent market direction and individual bar patterns, when taken together may have some predictive power. I'm using a moving average crossover to indicate recent market direction and combining that with five basic patterns ranging from very bearish to neutral to very bullish.
