From a July 30, 2020 KBLB IHub post:

Ben felt that Jon has the necessary authorisation to travel...

It's a matter of priorities...

I think we have multiple challenges here, including but not limited to:

- Ben is a bumbling idiot per many but we should take his word for what Jon can and cannot do?
- This is one post of a conversation with Ben. Others have posted that there were multiple hurdles to transporting the eggs within Vietnam so getting into Vietnam may not have been as much the issue as making sure we could get the eggs to Prodigy.
- Has authorization from whom? Kim said he can? Vietnam said they would let him in?
- Even if Jon was cleared to travel, couldn't it still be that there were challenges with guaranteeing safe passage for the eggs, one that has gone through many layers of bureaucracy now to confirm?

The up list may have taken priority over travel at the time, especially considering they still had not ensured safe passage for the eggs. With Jon traveling now, it appears that hurdle has been cleared.

On the genetics front and the claim of how KBLB has had to make "and then some" changes to their formulation, from what I can tell that is all speculation. Unless there is proof I am unaware of?

Making significant progress in genetics tells us next to nothing about how that may or may not impact this current production effort or if it was due to a necessary change or has come along as enhancements continue to be achieved. This doesn't necessarily mean anything was bad before, just that what they have been developing is now even better. Great news.

The eggs represent the future of spider silk production. Glad to hear it.
