Ask The President... 12/31/2006

Q: Lots of news releases on Sony/BMG being sued for millions of dollars because of the root-kit flaw. Have we been counter sued by Sony? How
is our relationship with Sony as of this date. When if ever will we go on the big board and get out of the pinks? Thanks....Long time holder and supporter of Sunncomm stocks.........Joe (12/31/2006 2:04:19 PM)

A: Joe...it´s been a long haul. Yes, the British company that talked Sony into trying its copy protection without the same 2 years of trials that SunnComm had to undergo with BMG screwed the pooch with it´s hidden root kit technology. That company´s copy protection was recalled and a cash bounty was paid to every customer who purchased it. Not true of SunnComm´s MediaMax...yet the damage was done.

That was back in November 05. It´s been a long year. Back to the drawing board at a time when SunnComm and MediaMax were just about to become profitable (which would have been the precise, perfect time to merge, according to the experts), but it was not to be. Instead, the company rolled back its overhead to 25% of was it was. Personally, I forwent all salary whatsoever for over a year and the management staff took a 50% paycut in order to make the dwindling revenues stretch. Our shareholders and supporters were dropping like flies (along with our stock price). Using our Intel and HP developers, we designed our new MediaMax copy protection product in accordance with new standards as well as introduced other related optical media products that are just beginning to create interest in the industry.

No, we´re not being sued by anyone. It´s quite the opposite. As you´ve probably read recently, all the copy protection lawsuits with the various states have been settled and we plan on introducing our new MediaMax 6.0 along with two new products in Q2/07. We have every hope that the newly-designed MediaMax 6.0 will be as accepted as its predecessor was until that other British company came along, but only time will tell. Our CDMX and Optipod products can be viewed at www.mediamaxtech.com and we expect to begin adding revenues early in the year.

By all rights, SunnComm should have died and gone belly-up a year ago, but it didn´t. There are people here who just won´t go away until we´re a success. I think you´ll be surprised by the events of 2007. I wouldn´t be here if I didn´t believe we could pull it off.

Happy New Year.

Peter
