Not that I believe much in any particular Mexus PR, but if this statement from the most recent PR was true, your logic is that they took all of the material from 2/3 of the leach pad down to five feet, and stacked it on the remaining third of the leach pad? Not sure that is even possible, from an engineering point of view. It must look like an Egyptian pyramid.

No, I doubt that's what they did. I don't believe they did anything in particular to properly contain the partially leached (and cyanide-laden) material they stripped off the pad. It takes money to do things right, and since they have mighty little money....they'll do what is cheapest, not what is right. It probably got pushed off into the nearest gully.

Now would be a really good time for the Mexican environmental folks to do an inspection.

I have seen numerous examples of damage done by "miners" here in Arizona when they had no money, no expertise, and no incentive to do things right. There's always a mess for others to clean up.

Do your own research, use third-party sources, and don't buy into the hype.
