I returned our ballots by driving them to the post office.

I did the same thing as you. The instructions we got said it required .55 cent first class postage.

I had some Forever stamps and I said just to be safe I'm going to the PO and buying some stamps over the counter.

That was on a Saturday and as you can see the PO confirmed receipt and then the BOE confirmed that the ballots were correct.
