That's simply stating the obvious. As it's been pointed out, mods are to uphold the rules for posting. If they show they're not willing or able to do that, they will be removed. But that's a separate issue from what you originally asked, which was is it their role to advise the people not to buy a certain stock. Anymore than it is for them TO buy a certain stock, which is a far more prevalent problem.

You can lead a horse to water. But you can't make him get down on one knee and do an Al Jolson impression!
