Good Luck on your appointment 2desire. Hope everything goes well. I have also had to recently change my diet for health reasons. No alchohol, coffee, cokes, etc. I can only drink water and no salt, which is the big one. I love salt! I've been trying to exercise more too. I used to be in great shape but let myself go a little. I think probably exercising everyday can do more for your health than anything else.
