Shares of employees who need to cash out, I'll take some. I purchased shares and plan to add some more and burry it. Just forget about it for a couple of years. I get the employees selling shares thing makes this not a quick flip stock. Don’t think anything significant will change in price in six months at least. I also don’t see the billionaire owners of this company who wanted this direct listing (and wanting to stay in control of all decisions running the company) letting this drop more than a buck or so below where it’s at. They would be embarrassed in the ego driven Zuckerberg type of world they move around in (the greatest motivator of success is envy and jealousy). However, because it’s like a Men In Black type of secret data company also used by the CIA, it has that mojo to also go unpredictably upwards. Maybe develop some really futuristic AI software that everyone will want. Who knows? Feel fortunate to be able to grab some shares early in their stock debut. For a additional reference to my trading mindset I also recently invested in a start up found on seed invest. I'm definitely not thinking quick profit turn-around here. I'm also encouraged that Palantir did not dilute with more shares and stated they don't really need new investor money which is why the direct listing. Consider this, maybe there's an unknown reason the owners wanted the shares on the open market? Yep, it's all a big unknown. Who could really read where this is going? It's an interesting situation to speculate on. So what does anyone think of PLTR long term? Other reasons they might want shares to change hands? Into who's hands, slowly, and not drawing too much attention? (Just keeping the speculation fun here.) We'll, anyways, I got some shares. I'll check back in a couple of years.
