Thank you for your always sincere responses on CYDY matters. I respect your opinions, although we differ on our viewpoints on management competency. My answer is as follows:
Ironically, from your perspective, I am long CYDY exclusively due to LL knowledge from TC. I have no peculiar knowledge of the science and how the medical community, as a whole, would/ should view LL. I am not sure most of the characteristics on the board really know this either. Early on Dr. Patterson and some internet docs touted LL and NP was over the top with enthusiasm. I think a lot of people took this to the bank as far as LL being effective. Seven months in, we still have no statistically significant proof, but maybe soon.
I understand the MOA and why LL should be effective on numerous indications. I do not really know how much credibility Dr. BP and internet docs have in the larger medical community. Apparently not nearly enough based on how little run CYDY and LL gets...right? If they did there would be more publicity ( or even some). Who else of import is on the CYDY bandwaggon ?
With only 1,200 plus/minus patients ever being treated, and failure to gain approval, I think realistically ( and exclusive of any confirmation bias) the opposite of your conclusion has more merit.
Why would a top medical person know the details of a lightly used drug with no peer reviewed papers , no statistically significant proof of concept and no approvals ? NP has failed to pursue any government assistance programs because it is too much work and they have a small staff. ( Make of that what you will. My conclusion is incompetence and poor decision- making skills).I am sure Fauci and others are being exposed to hundreds of “miracle drugs” from more credible sources than NP. Being emotionally tied to this drug does not make it effective. I think it is, you think it is, but the rest of the world apparently does not, at least not yet. Proof of my thesis is : no approvals and recent SP action reflecting the doubt of the market.
My cousin was a very senior executive at CDC and has been contacted by international companies to assist in their responses to COVID 19. He is also one of the smartest people I have ever met . He knows Fauci and told me “ listen to Fauci...he is the top guy in the world in this space”. I gotta go with the cousin on this one versus anonymous posters, no disrespect intended.
Again, I hope this drug is successful, but when I take a step back and detach all emotions, we do not yet have squadush and very little credibility to get folks “outside the circle” to pay attention.
It looks like we will have to wait until full enrollment to find out. Maybe we will know more Tuesday, but history suggests we will be left with more ambiguity after an NP CC...and an even lower SP.
