Seems to be a lot of confusion about "competition" with KBLB. The more "facts" those in support of the "competition" bring forward about the "Goo Crew" the more it becomes evident KBLB is really the only player in the Spider Silk realm. Another arrow in KBLB's quiver: MONOPOLY!

As GT explicitly detailed (thanks GT), any "products" produced by these other companies with their version of "Spider Silk" can only be labeled as novelty items. Making these collaborations really nothing more than over-glorified marketing gimmicks. Maybe the VC money will come in handy for the lawsuits sure to follow if they are to pitch their product as anything more than novelty. Yeah, the "created pathways towards..." never-ending Vulture hands pulling the strings to directing their little puppets which novelty to "produce" next. Stringing whomever decides to deal with them along for an indeterminate amount of time into the future.

Makes sense to me to stick with the ONE AND ONLY company solely focused on the Spider Silk Industry: KBLB!
