Is this meant to justify comparing Spiber to KBLB? Does the fact that Spiber doesn't reference spider silk on their website anywhere impact the validity of the "comparison"?
If we are going down this road, again, I guess I'd side with the company that has published its performance metrics, has a dramatically better cost structure and price point. Not sure why this point continues to be belabored.
Since there seems to great fascination with Spiber, maybe it would be worth checking into how they are funded: https://www.spiber.jp/en/news/?contents_type=13
Constant issuing of new shares to raise more money. So the amazing management at Spiber has decided it makes sense to continuously issue shares to finance operations? Interesting. What has it brought them?
$35.4B yen of paid in capital. That is over $350M in US dollars. Wow! Now that is some massive costs to recover!
They have 2,900,000 baht of registered capital. Wow, that must be a ton! Wait, once converted to US dollars that's less than $100K. Really, after all of that money invested that's all they have to show for it?
Again, not sure why we care what is going on with Spiber. Good luck to them. Looks like they'll need it to recover from that kind of debt.
