Thanks BC. Keeping technology as a trade secret might make sense in such a competitive market space.

Even though it is an emergency use application doesn’t the FDA have a responsibility to test a little bit for accuracy? I don’t know. They also have a public responsibility to get the test out there. I am not so familiar with the history of EUAs.

With the masks there is also a safety concern with a new unfamiliar chemical inside a breathing apparatus. The benefits though most likely vastly exceed the risks to health.
