Here goes -- it has been in my mind for several days -- it is a query for the bright minds on the board
IT IS THIS -- SH WAS INSANE -- WHERE WOULD WE BE IF HE HAD BEEN SANE ???
Scenario A: He is insane:
1 - there are no WMDs -- no stockpiles, no weapons anywhere
2 - But everyone in positions of power believe he has these weapons
3 - Inspectors are shunted here and there, WMD program directors are prevented from talking to UN officials w/o minders
4 - Dual purpose tubes, rocket propellant, pseudo dispersement aircraft are discussed
5 - UN res 1441 fosters 12,000 pages of nonsense, no data on the destruction of known biologic and chemical weapons
6 - Query -- Why, why -- all he had to do was call his friend Jack Chirac, have him bring troops, MI6 inspectors, CIA operatives -- and say, see -- no WMDs
And the USA would have had to transfer the troops in Kuwait out of there -- the French troops would have a holiday in Baghdad
But he did not do that -- Even though the WMDs were gone, he refused to verify their destruction
AND HIS REGIME IS DESTROYED
Scenario B -- What if he had been sane:
As his hand is called, step 6 above occurs --
7 -- his programs to produce WMDs are intact
8 - He has oil revenues of (2mm bbls/day @ $30) = $60 million per day going into his bank accounts
9 - France, Germany, and Russia on his payroll
10 - Eases up on terrorizing his subjects
11 - Can feed any WMD, particularly anthrax to alQaeda any time it is convenient
