There's probably quite a bias in the self-reporting there in those CDC numbers.

The lady with liver cancer who drinks four glasses of wine per day tells her Oncologist she drinks socially.

The guy with the gingivitis and bleeding gums swears to his dentist he flosses "often".

The fat guy tell his trainer he only cheats on his diet once a week.

The other fat guy tells his cardiologist he gets 30-45 minutes of moderate exercise each day.

The COVID patient who ends up in the hospital say "Yeah, but I almost always wore my mask."

Sure you did.

Nobody wants to appear to be the idiot who is sick because they didn't follow simple instructions...whether they are effective or not.

Most people lie or embellish to save face.
