Not that I am right, but, just a few years back I got to wondering about the race crap, the angry world and so forth......then for whatever reason I got to thinking about me----just what signals am I sending out. I want a better world to live in, I know there will always be hate and discontent, but can one person do anything to change it....NOPE!!!! But I have come to learn that "ONE" person can change their surroundings----I think-----Like I said a few years back and not that many years ----I took it upon myself to lead my one man crusade-----no matter where I am if I have eye contact I offer a pleasant greeting----Good Morning---Beautiful Day, ain't it-----I try to always thank store employees for being there---and so forth----Now I don't know if this changed anyone's heart, but I think it changed mine and that is step "ONE" in changing my surroundings. I am a Marine Veteran, many, many, many time I have folks thank me for my service and this opens up a door, I "ALWAYS" come back with "Thank you, but it takes us all to make America great, every person doing their job to the best of their ability----that is what makes America great." ----I have never said this that doors were not opened to share thoughts. A little example, the other day I was in BJ's doing some shopping and this Black lady thanked me for my service which opened that door, through our conversation "I think" she came to realize how important she was in making America great, or at least the things she said indicated so....then the real treasure----I made a friend-----OH YES!!!! Always in there I get the opportunity to share my faith, maybe just a little share, but, I get to plant a seed of thought.......Now after writing this I am wondering that prior to my little experiment what signals I was sending out----We are to let our light so shine, I reckon that means to turn that light on no matter where we are, HUMMMM!!! Maybe in past years my light was a bit deem, batteries getting a little low-----now just a passing thought here-----lets say you think the world is going to hell in a hand basket -----take a few weeks and experiment with the above---will you change the world, NO WAY----will you change you, probably, unless you are just an ole crouch.....I suppose being a Christian goes beyond Sunday

That lady in BJ's, I had to share a joke with her, "seems this man goes into a bar with an Ostrich and sits down and orders a beer, the Ostrich orders a beer, after drinking the beer the man reaches in his pocket and pulls out the exact amount of money to pay the bill----the next day the man comes back in the bar , sits down with his Ostrich and orders a beer and a burger, The Ostrich orders the same, they enjoy the burger & beer and ask how much, the bartender tells him and the man reaches in his pocket and again pulls out the exact amount of money to pay the bill, the third day the man & Ostrich come in the bar and order a beer, burger and fries, the Ostrich orders the same, comes time to go and once again the man reaches in his pocket and pulls out the exact amount of money to pay the bill......the bartender could not let it go and ask the man why when he comes in, no matter what he orders the Ostrich orders the same and when it comes time to pay he always has the exact amount of money in his pocket to pay the bill----the man says, well you see, years ago I was walking down the beech and found this dirty bottle and as I was wiping it off....POOOF-- A Jeanie popped out and said he would grant me any 2 wishes I had, well I thought on that and told the Jeanie that anytime I go into a store to buy something I always have the exact amount of money in my pocket to over the bill, no matter what- even if its a new car-----The Jeanie say DONE, now what else, the man thought and said I want a long-legged woman who agrees with everything I say---the Jeanie ---POOF it is done and gave him an Ostrich----Now I said above that I made a friend-----later I was at the gas station, and I hear someone yelling at me from across the lot, it was this lady from BJ's, asking me about the Ostrich------Now folks thought we were nuts, probably so, but I have a new friend---------sure beat a sour attitude anyday
