The problem with your thinking is that lax of regulations on the Republican side lead to these extreme market corrections/crashes. Trump juiced the markets by removing regulations that protected consumers. The pandemic only amplified the Republicans lack of ability to get anything done expect dismantle sound policy and exposed them as frauds. Democrats have regulations in place that lead to sound growth that doesn't tank the economy every 5 years. Without the pandemic Trumps economy would have come crashing down eventually. In a way I want him to win again so I can give you the biggest I told you so in the history of I told you so's. Trump would have crashed this economy just like he crashes his own businesses eventually. Of course he and you would have blamed Hillary just like you always do. MAGA.
