showing millions of people that this virus isn't as deadly as portrayed with skewed science and fearmongering

Let's analyze this statement.

Trump received Regeneron's MAB (monoclonal antibody) within 24 hours of his diagnosis. No one can currently get this drug because it is still in trials.

Then he was flown by helicopter to a hospital where he was given an IV of Remdesivir within 36 hours. I believe he completed a total of 5 rounds of this very expensive drug.

He was administered dexamethasone within 48 hours of his diagnosis.

The average person with a positive case and slight symptoms is told to stay at home. They wouldn't even be in a hospital much less provided the best care in the world by a huge team of doctors. They wouldn't be getting experimental drugs on top of the most expensive options available. Insurance wouldn't even allow it. And most regulars don't have access to private helicopters or Walter Reed Hospital.

The average person would have waited anywhere from 3-5 days before being admitted to a hospital after their condition had deteriorated.

If an individual does go to the hospital and has a 3 night stay how much do you think it will cost them? Even with my 'cadillac' insurance I'd still be paying 5 figures (10,000+). Over 80% of bankruptcies in America are due to hospital stays.

So if you think the President being rushed to a hospital and having the kitchen sink of drug cocktails put into his body proves there is skewed science and fear mongering then we have very differing opinions on the subject. If he had stayed in the white house the whole time, didn't take any medicines, just had a slight cough and fever before getting back to normal then I think your point might be a little more relevant.

This was not meant to be a political statement for right or left. It's a statement that therapeutics are going to be needed for this 1 in 100 year pandemic. Unfortunately, a lot of people won't realize that until either they, or their loved ones, need these drugs.
