Further, Brilacidin was successful in Ph 2 ABSSSI trials. One of the proposed MOAs is disruption of protein studded lipid bilayers with the ability to differentiate between host and foreign. So lets make the mental leap that if B was successful against bacteria with this likely MOA, then it has a very good chance of success against enveloped virus’ lipid bilayer among all its other effects.
