The Terra Cotta Project is located in Salta Province, Argentina – in the heart of South America’s Lithium Triangle. The Lithium Triangle is home to some of the largest lithium producers, supplying over 60% of the world’s lithium needs.

Terra Cotta consists of 10 mining exploitation claims covering over 13,000 hectares (32,000 acres) of the Pocitos Salar. Significant proven deposits of lithium in brine occur approximately 32 km (20 miles) north at Rincon Salar and approximately 90 km (56 miles) south at FMC’s Fenix plant on the Salar del Hombre Muerto. The Pocitos Salar is directly accessible by Salta Provincial Highway 17 and enjoys excellent infrastructure, including a gas pipeline and rail line on the eastern edge of the salar and a high voltage power line only 30 km (18 miles) to the north.

Mining is an integral part of the Salta economy. In 2016, the Fraser Institute ranked Salta Province as the third most favorable mining jurisdiction for investment attractiveness in South America. In making its rankings, the Fraser Institute considers mineral potential, regulation, taxation, infrastructure, and political stability.

Argentina is poised to support the global surge in energy innovation, electric vehicles, and battery technology through development of its lithium brine resources. With favorable geologic conditions, great infrastructure, and a supportive provincial government Pure Energy is excited about the potential of Terra Cotta
