TheComicStore.com Announces New Design and Fulfillment Contract; Will LaunchJapanese Anime Site for Christmas

SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 11, 2000--
TheComicStore.com (OTC Symbol - CMIX) has signed a one year design, maintenance and fulfillment contract with Big Monster Toys, a new e-commerce site specializing in import Japanese Toys and products.
TheComicStore.com will be creating the site, maintaining the catalog of products and doing all fulfillment services. Big Monster Toys will do marketing, advertising and editorial updates.
TheComicStore.com will be paid $400,000 in the first year from Big Monster Toys, and 20% of the retail transactions. In addition, TheComicStore.com will have a 20% equity stake in Big Monster Toys. The new site is expected to launch by November 15, 2000, in time for Christmas sales.
This is the second fulfillment contract signed by TheComicStore.com. The first was EasyDVD.com, a privately held company. TheComicStore.com also does sales and fulfillment for other on and off line retailers including Tower Records, Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
