thanks for addressing this topic. Imo, it is the topic of greatest interest on this end of the market. I hope we can clear up the confusion over the entire issue. Here are a few of my opinions.

1. I think someone can post on a stock if they have a position or not. Often I see people say "If you do not have a position, you should not be posting." that's rubbish. They were not complaining when I was posting bullish information.

2. Pointing out the negatives in a stock does not make one a basher.

3. Pointing out the positives in a stock does not make one a tout.

I may be very bullish on a stock, and then change to bearish if management does not follow through on promises made via PR, or direct conversation that I had with management. Conversely, I could be very bearish on a stock, and change my mind if they perhaps increase their transparency, and begin to create an honest relationship with shareholders.

To me, what is most important is identifying management, and investors that seem to always take the extreme position, and refuse to acknowledge both attributes.
