Hi again, K2,

The bill was introduced by a Black Assemblywoman from the San Diego area and even some of the few Repubs got behind the study.

California was not a slave state, although it did have laws that sent slaves back. I don't understand how and why this state that never codified slavery is the first out of the chute unless we refer to California being the superlative state and its need to lead the progressive pack.

It seems to me that that slave states would more likely be targets for studies and California would merely be an observer.

I don't get it.
