GREAT NEWS

AMLO met with The Business Council (CCE) yesterday @ noon to discuss the Infrastructure Plan. It will be announced this coming Monday, 10/05.

Do note for a healthy dose of cynicism, De Valle was reported after the meeting to have said that, “some “very short-term” projects will be announced first, but then new ones may be incorporated thanks to a mechanism created especially to follow up on the plan.” Our shortest project is 3-6 months to completion and is dealing with the isthmus. Then again, Salazar was reported in the same article as saying that “All infrastructure projects” will be announced. Maybe there is truth to both statements.

Also, most of us here are not anticipating the infrastructure plan as much as we are The Isthmus Master Plan announcement that I posted about last night. As Marin said on 9/4, it would be presented by the end of the month. The only possible delay, according to him, was if a spike in COVID cases would hinder the Singaporean company’s trip. AMLO said this morning Mexico has had 9 straight weeks of declining COVID cases. Singapore also has declined a ton since the beginning of August. We should be in the clear.

Great things ahead!
