A shareholder objection was filed in the Heng Ren vs SIAF case on 9-28 by David Hallonsten of Belgium, who filed with his objection a letter that meets the Court's requirements for the filing of a shareholder objection.
His objection is well written and footnoted, but I don't think it will derail the settlement at the hearing on October 13. His argument about "adequacy" is thoughtful and accurate, but the legal test for adequacy is quite different than the ordinary definition.
I think the judge has the ability to effectively address the fairness issue in his order following the October 13 hearing.
