If memory serves me correct, it really does turn waste plastic into ultra-clean ready-to-use fuels. Not only that, but it is a closed loop energy system, so it fuels itself for the heat needed for the conversion process and also easily passed all of NY's very strict carbon requirements. I've seen the videos of it in action and chatted with people who saw it working in person, so the process really works and is not fake. The main issue holding the first couple models back was that they could not run it continuously because of having to shut it down periodically to clean out the debris. That was solved with the latest additions and by adding heat transfer fluid. Yes, the heat transfer fluid cost money, but it came out as a much more valuable product at the end, so don't even try going there. After PTOI turned every "hazardous waste" vehicle gas tank available from every junk yard in Canada into ultra-pure diesel fuel and Crayola went a different route to recycle their crayons and markers, the issue was getting enough free feedstock to keep it rolling. Then the crazy hard freeze hit when the pipes burst requiring some major repairs.

It is without a doubt going to continue to get harder and more expensive to landfill all of the waste plastic in this world and the governments are without a doubt going to step up and spend a little money to hand it over to companies that can recycle it in a clean and productive manner...even if it costs more to do that than landfill.

Although I think Heddle does not spend much time thinking about PTOI over his extremely successful business which just developed a new partnership to deliver the Polar Icebreaker to the Canadian Coast Guard, I do appreciate the fact that he put millions of his own money into PTOI and did not turn this into a diluting pump and dump scam. I still have a sliver of hope that something good is going to happen someday.
