I think it has a lot to do with when the therapy is applied. U.S. trials on these drugs have not been positive, but perhaps it's because the patients were far sicker when the were applied. On the other hand if they're given to everyone with the mildest indication they have the disease, most would be cured anyway.

I'm hopeful of PSTI's PLX-PAD which is currently only being given to patients already on ventilators. In some of the first 8 to receive it under compassionate use, some were on ventilator for over 20 days and were in very bad shape, 7 of 8 were cured, one passed on. It's currently in a Phase 2 Trial and 100 doses have an EUA, hopefully reports will be forthcoming shortly. I do believe there are other therapies with promise, but I believe if they ever get PLX-PAD into patients just checking into hospitals, or perhaps on the diagnosis of pneumonia, I believe they'll find it has tremendous benefits and other organs that often are also affected are also benefitted. I believe this drug will be the answer to many forms of pneumonia.
